For history buffs there are grand country houses with their splendid gardens, castles and a rare surviving monastery - Buckfast Abbey. The Abbey church is a thought-provoking building, packed with the treasures of history, information points and shops selling a range of homemade products.

Just up the road from us is Dartmoor, with its Tor's, ponies and miles of spectacular scenery. The South Hams in South Devon is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so you won’t need to go too far to find a stunning beach, view or landscape.
